Blue Earth Donna Mae Tjaden, age 87, of Blue Earth, died Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2012, at United Hospital in Blue Earth.

Funeral Services were held on Saturday, Dec. 29, 2012, at 2:30 p.m. at Patton Funeral Home in Blue Earth. The Rev. Dave Drescher officiated. Burial was in Rosehill Cemetery, Winnebago.

Donna Mae was born July 7, 1925, in Aurora, S.D., the daughter of George and Elizabeth (Lindeman) Tjaden. Donna Mae was a longtime resident of Elm Homes in Blue Earth where she loved trips with the residents and staff. She also loved being outdoors with nature, loved animals and singing. She was a volunteer at St. Luke’s Lutheran Care Center and attended adult day care activities there.

Donna Mae is survived by her sister, Opal (Eldon) Jones, of Winnebago; brother-in-law, Bill (Grace) Tyler, of Sioux Falls, S.D.; many nieces and nephews, and her Elm Home Family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Mildred (Edmund) Jones; sister, Gladys (Dennis) Lindberg; and sister, Ruth Tyler.
