Darlene R. Lyon, 82

Blue Earth Darlene Ruth Lyon, age 82, of Blue Earth, died Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2013, at St. Marys Hospital in Rochester.

A Celebration of Life was held at 11 a.m. on Jan. 5, 2013, at Patton Funeral Home in Blue Earth. The Rev. Joel DeNeui officiated. Burial will be at a later date in Pilot Grove Township Cemetery in rural Blue Earth. Patton Funeral Home & Cremation Service assisted the family with the arrangements.

Darlene was born on Dec. 14, 1930, in Winnebago, the daughter of Harry and Evelyn (Davis) Scott.

Darlene leaves behind her husband, Howard Lyon. She also leaves behind six children: Steven Lyon, of Mancos, Colo., Ruthanne (John) Ellis, of Armstrong, Iowa, Bruce (Cindy) Lyon, of Blue Earth, Scott (Kathy) Lyon, of Blue Earth, Jeff Lyon, of St. Paul, and Shelley (Nick) Bleess, of Blue Earth; sisters, Karen (John) Campbell, of Buffalo, and Ann Hanna, of Blue Earth; nine grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
