Evelyn T. Ehrich

Blue Earth Evelyn Theresa Ehrich, age 95, of Blue Earth, died Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2013, at St. Luke’s Lutheran Care Center, Blue Earth.

Funeral Services were held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 19, 2013, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Elmore. Burial followed in St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery. Patton Funeral Home & Cremation Service was in charge of arrangements.

Evelyn was born June 5, 1917, in Minnesota Lake Township, the daughter of Ernest and Hulda (Budach) Schnoor. She attended rural schools before her marriage to Milton Ehrich on June 16, 1938, at St. Paul Lutheran Church rural Minnesota Lake. The couple farmed in the rural Blue Earth/Elmore area for many years until Milton’s death in 1987. Soon after, Evelyn moved to Blue Earth. Evelyn enjoyed crocheting, producing vegetable and flower gardens and was a wonderful cook and baker. Visitors were always welcomed with good food and desserts and she loved providing for any family gathering.

Evelyn is survived by her son, Gary (Sandy) Ehrich, of Blue Earth; grandchildren, Heather (Charles) Davis, of Burnsville, and Shawn (Mary) Ehrich, of Blue Earth; and great-grandchildren, Ashley, Alexander, Allen and Aaron Davis, and Maxwell and Madison Ehrich.

Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Milton, in 1987; sister, Linda Kluender; and brother, Melvin Schnoor.
