Floyd F. Freidel, 79

Blue Earth Floyd Foster Freidel, age 79, of Blue Earth, died Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2013, at his home in Blue Earth, surrounded by his family, after a short battle with cancer.

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2013, at 11 a.m. at Bricelyn Lutheran Church in Bricelyn. Visitation will be held from 9:30-11 a.m. on Tuesday prior to the service at the church. Rev. Kristen Venne will officiate and interment will be in Bricelyn Lutheran Cemetery in Seely Township, Faribault County. Military Honors will be accorded by the Kiester American Legion Post. Bruss-Heitner Funeral Home in Wells is in charge of arrangements.

Floyd is survived by his wife, Norma, of Blue Earth; children, Mitzi (Rod) Shirk, of Eugene Ore., Peggy Sabin (special friend, Tim), of Blue Earth, Cindy (Mark) Klingbeil, of Frost, and Jeff (Jen) Freidel, of Monticello; nine grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and brother-in-law, Richard (Deb) Bergsather.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to Hospice or cancer are preferred.
