Lois Matson, 88

Kiester Funeral Services for longtime newspaper publisher Lois Wittman Matson, age 88, were held at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 16, 2013, at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Kiester. Rev. Katie Pals officiated with interment in the church cemetery. Lois died Friday afternoon, Feb. 1, 2013, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester from an aortic aneurysm.

She is survived by her daughter, Cynthia Matson (husband, Gerald Nelson), of Kiester; daughter-in-law, Sheryl Halvorsen Matson, of Kiester; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sisters, Hazel Kepple, of Albert Lea, and Ona Lee (husband, Roger Iverson), of Sioux City, Iowa; and brother-in-law, Robert (Carol) Matson, of St. Paul.
