Melvin H. Augustin, 92

Blue Earth Melvin Henry Augustin, age 92, of Blue Earth, died Sunday, Feb. 17, 2013, at St. Luke’s Care Center in Blue Earth, surrounded by his family.

Memorial Services were held Feb. 20, 2013, at St. Luke’s Lutheran Care Center Chapel. The Rev. Karl Rydholm officiated and interment will be in the spring at Home Cemetery in Sleepy Eye. Bruss-Heitner Funeral Home in Wells was in charge of arrangements.

Mel was born Aug. 14, 1920, in Sleepy Eye, the son of Albert and Emma Augustin.

Mel is survived by his wife, Lucille, of St. Luke’s Lutheran Care Center in Blue Earth; son, Steve (Dee) Augustin, of Byron; daughter, Wendy (Ted) Mays, of Minnesota Lake; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
