Paul McCue

Delavan Paul McCue, age 77, originally of Delavan, died Sunday, May 19, 2013, at Mapleton?Community Home, in Mapleton, surrounded by his family.

Mass of Christian Burial was held May 25, 2013, at 10:30 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Minnesota Lake. The Rev. Thomas Niehaus officiated. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery, rural Delavan.

Paul was born Oct. 3, 1935, in Mankato, to Willard and Violet (O’Neil) McCue. He graduated from Delavan High School in 1953, and soon thereafter spent several winters assisting his brothers with their parking garages in Chicago. He worked with his dad farming, and also farmed his own land. He is best known for his own business, Paul D. McCue Trucking. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed socializing with his friends.

Paul is survived by his children, son, Jason (Nancy) McCue, of Minnesota Lake, and daughter, Kelly (Joseph) Bower, of St. Paul; four grandchildren, Connor, Caleb, Nellie, and Bridget; two nieces and three nephews; two siblings, Sister Marilyn McCue, SSND of Mankato, and Mark McCue, of Pompano Beach, Fla.; and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his brother, John.

Bruss-Heitner Funeral Home in Wells was in charge of arrangements.
