Doug Ackerman, 54

Castro Valley, Calif. Doug Ackerman, age 54, of Castro Valley, Calif., formerly of Blue Earth, died Tuesday, May 14, 2013, at Alta Bates Summit Medical Center, in Oakland, Calif.

A Memorial Service was held on Saturday, June 1, 2013, at 2 p.m. at Patton Funeral Home in Blue Earth. The Rev. Robert Roettger officiated. Burial will be at a later date. Visitation time was one hour before the service at the funeral home.

He was born Dec. 27, 1958, the son of Orlando Ackerman and Phyllis Kliendl.

He is survived by his mother, Phyllis Kliendl; father, Orlando Ackerman; brother, Jeffrey Ackerman; sisters, Denice Ackerman, Terri (Tony) Tollakson, and Nancy (Fred) Quinn; half brothers, Greg Ackerman, Mark Ackerman, and Brad Ackerman; and stepbrothers, Glen Ackerman, and Gary Ackerman.
