Patrick Pettey, 72

Minnetonka Patrick Gerald Pettey, age 72, formerly of Minnetonka, died Monday, June 3, 2013, after a very brief and courageous battle with Leukemia.

Memorial Services were held June 7, 2013, at All Saints Lutheran Church in Minnetonka.

Pat was born on Dec. 6, 1940, in Mason City, Iowa. Pat graduated from Blue Earth High School where he met his bride, Barbara. He served in the United States Air Force, was previously the General Manager of Dave Syverson Ford in Albert Lea, and most recently was Executive Vice President for Koch Trucking of Minneapolis. He was a devoted husband, loving father, who gave to all. Pat created lasting friendships with all whose path he crossed. Pat enjoyed his Florida residence, auto racing, golf, boating and entertaining with friends and family.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara (Domes); his mother, Velma Griggs; daughter, Bobbi (Bob) Hoebelheinrich; son, Mark (Tricia ES.) Pettey; grandchildren, David and Erin Hoebelheinrich, Nathan and Emali Pettey; sister, Janice (Ron) Moslowski; and brother, Larry (Pauline) Pettey.

Preceded in death by his stepfather, Bobby Griggs; and son, Patrick Pettey II.

Memorials to Hospitality House, Minneapolis, or Wounded Warriors preferred.
