Agnes F. Ledermann, 71
Alexandria Agnes (Aggie) Florence Ledermann was the 10th child born to Math and Margaret Jenniseen on Jan. 25, 1942, of rural Sauk Centre. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. She attended School District #53 and then went on to St. Francis High School in Little Falls. She then went on to LPN School at St. Mary’s in Rochester. After working at the Sauk Centre Hospital for three years she met and married Florian Ledermann in 1964. She lived the first two years of her marriage in Louisiana as a military spouse. They moved to Winnebago in 1966 and then moved to Alexandria in 1982 where they lived by Lake Latoka for 13 years. In 1995 they bought a beautiful Victorian home and made it into the Cedar Rose Inn?Bed and Breakfast. Aggie loved to cook, bake, and decorate but most of all spending time with her six children and thirteen grandchildren and husband of 49 years.
Aggie and Florian are the parents of six children: Jeff and wife, Pam; Lisa, and husband, Rodger; Lora and husband, Matt; Joel and wife, Becky; Jason and wife, Amy; Jeremy and wife, Katie; grandchildren: Katie and Heidi Ledermann; Gabe and Aleyna Garcia; Lucas and Ali?Taliaferro; Brynn and Annika Ledermann; Jacob, Noah, and Eden Ledermann; Sofia and Ella Ledermann.
Aggie was a member of St. Mary’s Church and taught religion for many years. She worked at St. Mary’s School and with the pre-marriage program. She also volunteered at Knute Nelson.
Aggie died on Wednesday, Sept. 11, 2013, at her home surrounded by her family at the age of 71 years old. She is survived by her husband, children, and grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings, Marie (Jim) Bagan; Eugene (Claudette) Jennissen; Sr. Anita Jennissen OSF; Margie (Bob) Schmiesing; Tony (Marlene) Jennissen; Jim (Bernie) Jennissen; Rosie (Jim) Miller; Paul (Doris) Jennissen; Joann?Weber; David (Barb) Jennissen; and Harold (Jean) Jennissen.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and siblings, Caroline Weller, and Bill Jennissen.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Sept. 14, 2013, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Alexandria. Casket Bearers were all of Aggie’s grandchildren.
