Peggy L. Bahls, 57
Elmore A Celebration of Life service for Peggy L. Bahls, age 57, formerly of Fairmont, will be 1:30 p.m., Monday, Oct. 20, at Grace Lutheran Church in Fairmont. Burial will follow at Fairview Memorial Park in Fairmont. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 19, at the Lakeview Funeral Home in Fairmont and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday.
Peggy passed away Sunday afternoon, Oct. 12, 2014 in Fairmont after a courageous battle with cancer.
Peggy Lee Bents was born on July 28, 1957 in Fairmont, the daughter of Kenneth and Ruby (Meyer) Bents. Peggy attended school in Welcome and graduated in 1975. She was united in marriage to Mark Allen Bahls on Dec. 31, 1990 in Lakeville. After moving frequently they settled in Blue Earth then moved to an acreage north of Elmore in 2004. Peggy was a freelance graphic artist. She enjoyed raising horses and German shepherd dogs and enjoyed horseback riding.
She is survived by her husband, Mark Bahls of Elmore; daughter, Tessa (Jeremy) Petersen, of Fairmont; two sons, Nathan (Victoria) Bahls, of Wesminster, Colo., Jason (Karyn) Bahls, of Golden Valley; grandchildren, Dylan Petersen, Devin Schlomann, Leah Petersen, Carter Petersen and Madison Petersen; parents, Kenneth and Ruby Bents, of Fairmont; brothers, Jerry (Gwen) Bents, Doug (Cindi) Bents; mother-in-law, Eleanor Bahls; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Cynthia and Daniel Green, Catherine and Michael Benner, Christine Henke, Sandra and Todd Greene; many nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
Peggy was preceded in death by her grandparents, Jacob and Hanna Bents, Emma and Frank Meyer; uncle, Ervin Meyer and father-in-law, Allan Bahls.
