Kurt J. Bauman, 60

Blue Earth Kurt J. Bauman, age 60, of Blue Earth, died Thursday, Feb. 12, 2015, at Methodist Hospital in Rochester. Memorial services were held on Saturday, Feb. 21, 2015, at Hope United Methodist Church in Blue Earth, the Rev. Russ Jacobsen officiated. Burial was in Immanuel Methodist Cemetery, Blue Earth.

Kurt was born July 16, 1954, in Rochester, the son of Barney and Donna B. (Bales) Bauman. He was raised on the family farm East of Blue Earth and was a 1972 graduate of Blue Earth High School. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Business from Winona State University and worked toward his Master’s Degree at Mankato State University. Kurt worked with Data 100, Toro Corp before becoming a partner at Brad Martin and Associates, a job placement specialty firm for corporate employment. He retired to Blue Earth in 2005 where he enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, riding his Harley motorcycle and riding, training and selling Arabian horses.

Kurt is survived by his mother, Donna B. Bauman, of Blue Earth; sisters, Julie (Bob) Goodrie, of Battle Lake, and Karla (Bruce) Brenckman, of Maple Grove; aunt, Marjorie Hill, of Winnebago; niece, Katie (Ryan) Hughes; nephews, Nicholas and Alex Brenckman; great niece Berit Hughes; great nephew, Mason Hughes and several cousins.

He was preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents, father, Barney in 2008, and uncle, Harold Bauman.
