Shakopee Marlene Abbas, age 82, of Shakopee, died Thursday, Feb.12, 2015, at St. Gertrude’s Health Care Center. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, February 28, 2015, at 1:00 p.m., at Spencer?Owen Funeral Home in Winnebago, with Chaplain Jacquelyn Witter officiating. Burial will be in Lura Township Cemetery. Visitation time will be one hour before the service at Spencer?Owen Funeral Home.

She was born March 29, 1932, at Cass County, the daughter of Ernest and Marion (Sogge) Ford.

Marlene Abbas is survived by her daughters, Susan (Dennis) Rehbein, of Las Vegas, Nev., Donna Bates, of Bricelyn, Mary (Jeff) Penney, of Eden Prairie; son, Walter (Joan) Abbas, of St. Paul; sisters, Fran (Art) Schricker, Twyla (Wayne) Elison; Judy (William) Herrmann, Peggy Ford, Kathy (Dick) Wake, Debbie McClimek,; brothers, Dwayne (Marge) Ford, Dennis (Linda) Ford, Bradley (Marilyn) Ford, 11 grandchildren, 16 great?grandchildren, and one great-great?grandson.
