Robert Noblitt, 90

Winnebago Rev. Robert Noblitt, Jr., age 90, of Winnebago, died Sunday, March 1, 2015, at his home in Winnebago.

Memorial services were held on Saturday, March 7, 2015, at First Baptist Church in Winnebago, the Rev. Thomas Butler officiated. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery, Winnebago.

He was born April 30, 1924, at Okmulgee, Okla., the son of Robert and Henrietta (Meester) Noblitt, Sr. On March 6, 1943 he joined the United States Army serving during WWII as a Forward Artillery Observer. After his service he returned home, and on July 6, 1946 at Neodesha, Kan., he married Zella Marie Mason. He was a man of God serving for 50 years in the ministry.

He is survived by his wife, Marie Noblitt, of Winnebago; son, Kenneth (Becky) Noblitt, of Cherokee, Iowa; daughter, Ann (Floyd) Kusie, of Coon Rapids; sisters, Pat (Bill) Tucker, of Independence, Kan., and Nancy Brennen, of Frisco, Texas, four grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and three foster children and their families.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
