MaryAnn Norman, 91
Tucson, Ariz. MaryAnn Norman, 91, of Tucson, formerly of Winnebago, passed away Dec. 30, 2014 at the home of her daughter.
Memorial services were held in Tucson, Ariz., with burial at Evergreen Cemetery.
MaryAnn Elizabeth Weerts was born Nov. 19, 1923 in rural Fairmont, the daughter of Herman and Elizabeth (Weber) Weerts.
After the death of her mother in 1932, the family moved to Winnebago, where she grew up and attended school, graduating from Winnebago High School as Salutatorian in 1942. On Jan. 11, 1948, MaryAnn was married to Eugene Norman in Granada.
After living in Minnesota and Iowa they eventually settled in Tucson, Ariz. Gene passed away in 2002.
Survivors include her three daughters, Norma (Cliff) Osborn, of New York, Mary Norman, of Maryland, and Becky (David) Millis, of Tucson; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; half-sister, Joyce Farnsworth, of Oklahoma; two sisters-in-law, Nadene Weerts, of Tucson and Helen Weerts Hurt, of Oklahoma; many nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gene; parents, Herman and Elizabeth Weerts; step-mother, Stella (Loveall) Weerts; one sister, Eleanor (Dwayne) Cartwright; five brothers, Gerald (Ella), Willard (Mava), James (Violet), Lawrence (Dell), and Donavon; brother-in-law, James Farnsworth; one nephew, Dyal Cartwright; many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
