David B. Kluender, 81
Bricelyn David B. Kluender of Bricelyn and Apache Junction, Ariz., left his earthly homes for his eternal home with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, at 4:15 a.m., MST, on March 19, 2015, at Mountain Vista Medical Centre, Meza, Ariz.
David was born Aug. 28, 1933, to George and Meta Wegner Kluender, on the home farm north of Kiester. He was united in marriage to Evelyn Nelson, on June 5, 1955. The couple farmed and worked together their entire married life.
It was David’s wish to have only a private graveside service with just his nearest and dearest friends present and no public announcements until after that service. Burial was at Rice Lake Cemetery, Foster Township, south of Wells. Rev. Arne Halbakken of Frost conducted the graveside service.
David and Evelyn spent the last seven winters in their home in Saguaro Canyon Village, Apache Junction, after several years of spending two to three weeks each winter in Arizona. Many treasured and beautiful friendships came to be, added to a long list of dear and special friends in Minnesota. They said many times how blessed they were by all the wonderful people and lasting friendships God brought into their lives.
David lived life to the fullest and enjoyed so many things in his work and travels – right up to within a few hours of his death. David and Evelyn attended Broadway Christian Church in Mesa and never missed a Sunday, including the Sunday prior to his death. He had a strong and abiding faith and lived his life according to those principles.
