Dorothy “Dort” Mae Greger, 84
Winnebago Dorothy “Dort” Mae Greger, age 84, of Winnebago, died Friday, April 3, 2015, at St Luke’s in Blue Earth. Funeral services were held on Wednesday, April 8, 2015, at the Lutheran Church of Our Savior in Winnebago, with Rev. William Sabol officiating. Burial was held at Rosehill Cemetery, Winnebago.
She was born Sept. 19, 1930, in Madelia, the daughter of Harry and Hannah (Haukvik) Madsen. She graduated Valedictorian from Winnebago High School in 1948, and then attended the Commercial College in Mankato. On June 3, 1950 she married Francis “Fran” Greger at the Lutheran Church of Our Savior in Winnebago. She worked at Family Chiropractic in Winnebago for many years.
Dorothy was active in her church, loved to play cards, and visit with friends. Dort and Fran also loved to travel to Branson, Mo. to visit their grandkids and see the shows.
She is survived by her husband Francis “Fran” of Winnebago; daughter, Julie (Tim) Fie, of Mounds View, daughter, Diane (Dennis “Jake”) Jacobson, of Springfield, Mo.; sister, Jean (Claus “Jr”) Kaduce, of Amboy; six grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and infant brother, Harold Madsen.
