Michael W. Volz, 25
Blue Earth Michael “Mike” Wayne Volz, age 25, of Blue Earth, passed away Friday, May 29, 2015, due to vehicle accident in rural Blue Earth.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday, June 2, 2015, at Elmore United Methodist Church, the Rev. Mark Brickzin officiated. Burial was in Riverview Cemetery, Elmore.
He was born March 3, 1990, at Blue Earth, the son of Jim and Kim (Risk) Volz. He graduated from Granada-Huntley-East Chain in 2008 and later attended St. Cloud Vo-Tech. He worked for Tvedten Electric for 5 and 1/2 years and was currently employed at Green Plains Inc.
Mike was an active member of the Elmore Fire Department, helped teach children to hunt through FFMB, showed Charolais and Simmental cattle in 4-H, and had a passion for anything with a motor. He enjoyed hunting with his friends, making videos, taking pictures, but the most important thing to him was his job as daddy to his daughter Jaydyn, at which he was a professional.
Mike’s motto was always to live life to the fullest and he truly succeeded in that every day. Anytime someone was in need, he would always give the shirt off his back. He was a redneck troublemaker with a heart of gold. He had no idea the impact he had on the children in FFMB and anyone who had the privilege of knowing him. He is proof it’s not about the quantity of time on this earth, it’s the quality. As Mike would say “Goodnight World.”
He is survived by his daughter, Jaydyn Volz, of Blue Earth; fianc, Danika Stindtman, of Blue Earth; father, Jim (Shelley) Volz, of Elmore; mother, Kim (Dave Goeke) Volz, of Elmore; brother, Travis (fianc Elise Wolf) Volz, of Blue Earth; paternal grandmother, Bee Volz, of Blue Earth; maternal grandparents, Wayne and Joyce Risk, of Elmore; uncle, John (Rita) Volz, of Elmore; cousin Hannah (Austin) Bressler and their son Myles, of Huntley; fiancs family members, parents Troy and Michele “Crazy M-Shell” Stindtman; and brothers Tanner and Trenton Stindtman, of Blue Earth.
