Leo W. Sippel, 94
Blue Earth Leo William Sippel, age 94, of Blue Earth, died Saturday, June 6, 2015, at St. Luke’s Lutheran Care Center, Blue Earth. Mass of Christian Burial was held on Friday, June 12, 2015, at SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Blue Earth, the Father Peter Klein officiated. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery, Blue Earth.
Leo was born Oct. 3, 1920, in Easton, the son of William and Ethel (Stevermer) Sippel. He was raised in Easton where he attended Mt. Carmel Catholic Schools.
Leo was married to Dorelda Wiese on Nov. 26, 1943 in Blue Earth. She passed away on July 7, 1972. He farmed in Faribault County, and later in Rice County near Faribault, for 38 years After farming he came to Blue Earth where he was a salesman at Hi-Way Ford for 21 years. Leo was reunited in marriage to Marvel Staloch on Aug. 2, 1974. He had six siblings, Donald, Joseph, Marie, Florence, Elaine and Cora Ann.
Leo W. Sippel is survived by his wife, Marvel Sippel, of Blue Earth; sons, Ron Sippel, of Mapleton, Randy (Alana) Sippel, of Sherburn; step-children, Jeff, Barb, Lisa and Greg (Chris); sisters, Elaine Lubitz and Cora Ann (Tom) Murphy; grandchildren: Jim (Kris) Sippel, Shannon (Rick) Allen, Jason (Angie) Sippel, Tammi (Ken) Leppla; two step-grandchildren, Nicholas and Tyler Staloch and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife; brothers, Don and Joseph Sippel; and sisters, Marie Claude and Florence Trembley; and daughter-in-law, Nan Sippel.
Memorial contributions are preferred to SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church.
