Violet M. Martin, 89
Ft. Myers Beach, Florida Violet (Vi) Martin, formerly of Blue Earth, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 25, 2015 in Ft. Myers Beach, Florida and now is with her heavenly father for eternity.
A memorial gathering will be held Jan. 15, 2016 in sunny Ft. Myers Beach.
Violet Marie (Sanders) Martin was born Aug. 1, 1926 and grew up in Los Angeles before uniting in marriage to George (Bud) Martin of Blue Earth in 1945. In 1947 Violet joined George in taking over the family business and running the White House Dining Room and Brass Rail Lounge in Blue Earth for 48 years. Vi served and prepared excellent food for many who visited from all over the world. Vi raised four children with Bud in Blue Earth after building their primary home in 1947. Vi enjoyed traveling, cooking, bible study, writing and socializing with her many friends all over the country. Vi was actively involved in the church and had a passion for praising and spreading the word of the lord to so many close to her.
Vi was preceded in passing by her husband, George (Bud) Martin in 2011, her parents, and son, Raymond in 2013.
She is survived by daughters, Debra Gack, of Ft. Myers, Florida, Shari Templin, of Apple Valley, Kirt Martin, of Idaho, 12 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
