Anna Tibodeau

Easton Anna Marie Tibodeau, age 89, of Easton, died Friday, July 22, 2016 at Parkview Care Center in Wells. Mass of Christian Burial was held Wednesday, July 27, 2016 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Easton, the Fr. Thomas Niehaus officiated. Interment was at OLMC Cemetery.

Anna Marie was born Sept. 14, 1926 in Minneapolis, the daughter of Anna Tautges of St. Leo. She was adopted at eight months of age by Bernard and Gertrude (Herman) Schimek. She was united in marriage to Bernard Charles Tibodeau on June 22, 1948 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Easton and to this union 10 children were born. They lived in Winnebago until the spring of 1949 when they moved to a farm Southeast of Easton. Anna Marie was a thoughtful and caring woman who was always concerned about others, and no one was a stranger to her. She spoke her mind and always had the scoop on area happenings. Anna Marie taught school for four years at the Pink School House. She was a hot lunch cook for OLMC School, and took great pride in raising her family. She had a great appreciation and love for music and was an OLMC choir member from 1945-2002. She was also a member of OLMC Catholic Church in Easton and the Easton American Legion Auxiliary.

She is survived by her children, Sue Rivard, of Albert Lea, Kathryn Tibodeau, of Maple Grove, Mary Tibodeau, of Faribault, Chuck (Shelley) Tibodeau, of Wells, Michele Way, of Champlin, Christine (Ron) Schultz, of Easton, Barb (Paul) Rehmke, of Albert Lea, Ken (Meg) Tibodeau, of Easton, Joanne (Kerry) Haugh and John (Joanne) Tibodeau, all of Wells; 22 grandchildren, Brenda Rivard, Nikki (Ben) Gare, Lesley (Cole) Richardson, Lyssa (Jade) Warmka, Ashley (Adam) Grunzke, Laura Way, Lisa Way, Dominic Schultz, Vincent Schultz (Cassie Roberts), Bernie Schultz, Andrea Schultz, Chelsea (Todd) Sonnek, Christopher (Lindsey) Schultz, Marielle Schultz, Jaclyn Rehmke, Elyce (Tyler) Yelk, Trevor (Britney) Haugh, Phil Haugh, Bridget Haugh, Ryan Tibodeau, Claire Tibodeau, and Alex Tibodeau; 12 great-grandchildren, Britnee, Blake, Hailie, Hudson, Paisley, Hadley, Spencer, Maria, Brayden, Makenzie, Wyatt, and Kaydra.

Anna Marie is preceded in death by her parents and husband Bernard (1980).
