John A. Goshorn, 72

Blue Earth John Allen Goshorn passed on Oct. 20, 2016 at the Beacon of Mapleton.

Burial was Friday, Oct. 28, 2016, at Calvary Cemetery, in Blue Earth.

John was born March 24, 1944 in Blue Earth. He was the son of Alva and Catherine (Jennings) Goshorn. He was raised in Blue Earth and graduated from Blue Earth High School in 1962. After high school he joined the U.S. Navy from June 1962 until June 1968. Upon returning home he worked as an electrician in the Blue Earth area for many years. John loved fishing and taking rides on his motorcycle.

John is survived by his wife, Vicky, of Rochester; a daughter, Tracy, and son, Maxwell, of Olympia, Washington, their sons, David (Patrice), of Denver, Colorado, and Aron (Megan) and their sons, Eli, Caleb, Isaac, Micah, of Newport News, Virginia; John’s three sisters, Janice (Joe) Bolis, of Sun Lakes, Arizona, Joellen (Tom) Bryan, of Gallatin, Tennessee, and Julie (Harvey) Hyatt, of Minneapolis.

John is preceded in death by his father, mother, and two sisters, Jean and Joyce.
