Marjorie Dean Lehman, 88

Hinckley Marjorie Wendla Dean Lehman passed away Jan. 25, 2017 in Hinckley, at the age of 88. She was born in Blue Earth, to Rollo and Helen Dean. She attended Blue Earth school and the University of Minnesota, earning a degree in Education and later a Master’s Degree from the University of Wisconsin.

Max Lehman and Marjorie were married for 24 years. They lived in Hinckley, with Max running a shoe store and Marjorie teaching in Finlayson.

Marjorie began work at Moose Lake State Hospital in 1965 and became Assistant Director, retiring after 20 plus years. She was also part-owner of the Swedish Inn in Lindstrom. She had a vacation home on Girl Lake, near Longville,where she was part-owner of a mall and ran a Troll Shop.

In Hinckley she was a long-time member of Trinity Episcopal Church. She was very active in the American Legion Auxiliary as Local President, 10th District President, and State Finance Chairman. She was also Pine County Chairman of the Red Cross.

Marjorie is survived by two brothers, Richard Dean, of Golden Valley; niece, Sabina and family; nephew, Thomas George (Janice) Dean of Fridley; and nephews Tim and family, and Jon and family. There will be no services, per her request.
