Rev. William C. Bidwell

Winnebago Rev. William Calvert Bidwell, age 90, of Winnebago, passed away on Tuesday, May 23, 2017 at St. Luke’s Lutheran Care Center of Blue Earth. Funeral service was at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 27 at Berean Baptist Church of Winnebago Pastor Rodney Yates officiated.

Interment will be 12 p.m. on Tuesday, May 30 at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery. Online condolences may be left at www.spencerowen.com.

Bill was honored to have served as a Marine during WWII. Later, Bill and his wife, Carol, founded the Berean Baptist Church where he pastored for 24 years. Bill’s greatest joys in life were his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and especially, his wife of 54 years, Carol.

Bill is survived by his wife, Carol; children, Corey (Jean), Mikel (Ruth), Cherlyn (Luke) Lukenoff, Merilyn (Rodney) Yates, Carolyn (Terry) Hedderman, Nathan (Lisa), and Jared; 27 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and many other loving relatives and friends.

Bill is preceded in death by his infant sons, Laren and Adam; two sisters; and two brothers.
