Fredrick J. Levenhagen, 87
Blue Earth Fredrick “Fritz” John Levenhagen, age 87, of Blue Earth, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Nov. 7, 2017 at St. Luke’s Lutheran Care Center. A Funeral Service was held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 11 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Blue Earth, Rev. Jeanette Bidne presided. Fritz was born on Jan. 22, 1930 to Fredrick and Clara (Kiester) Levenhagen in Allamakee County in Iowa. As a teenager, Fritz and his family moved to Lake Bronson, where he worked until he joined the United States Navy in 1951. He learned his trade of welding during his four years in the Navy.
Fritz married Mary Graphenteen on Nov.28, 1958 in St. Paul. The couple moved to Isanti, and started their family. After seven years, Fritz purchased F&M Welding in Blue Earth. The couple relocated their family to Blue Earth. Fritz ran the business for over 40 years before he sold the business to his son.
Fritz enjoyed outdoor activities, such as hunting and fishing, spending time with his family, and playing cards, especially pinochle.
Fritz is survived by his wife of 59 years, Mary; children, Crystal (Dan) Roos, Lon (Kelli), Todd (Tammy); grandchildren, Alexandra, Brooklyn, Gabrielle Roos, Landon Levenhagen, JyLessa, Jolane, Jayden, Seth, Shane Levenhagen; brother, Willie (Violet) Levenhagen; sister, June (David) Karol; sister-in-law, Margaret Levenhagen and many other loving relatives and friends.
Fritz is preceded in death by, parents; brothers, Charles (Ardyce), Gerhardt, Palmer, David; sisters, Ruth (Pat) Erickson, Florence (Marvin) Johnson.
