Darold W. Tesch

Elmore Darold Wayne Tesch, age 86, of Elmore, died Monday, Nov. 13, 2017, at Parkview Care Center.

Memorial services will be held on Monday, Nov. 20, 2017, at 11 a.m., at Elmore United Methodist Church in Elmore, with Rev. Mark Brickzin officiating. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery, Elmore. Visitation time was from 4-6 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 19, 2017, at Patton Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 400 E. 14th Street in Blue Earth, and one hour before the service at the church. Darold was born March 8, 1931, in Kossuth County, Iowa, the son of Herman and Eva (Arndt) Tesch. On Oct. 29, 1950 he married Evelyn B. Clark.

Darold was a long distance truck driver for multiple companies over the years. He also was a foreman on road construction, and helped with harvest for good friends, Scott Volz and Duane Boehm.

Dad loved family and everyone was always welcome in their home. He was always willing to help out someone if his health allowed it. He was so proud of his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He always had a kiss, a hug, and an “I Love You” for each one of them. Dad especially loved the gag gifts given to him at Christmas by his children and grandchildren.

You were so special to all of your family. We will miss you so much!

Darold is survived by his daughters, Rhonda (Craig) Lloyd, of Elmore and Debbie (Gene) Murphy, of Blue Earth; brothers, Don Tesch, of Blue Earth, Ken (Stephanie) Tesch, of Richland, Washington, Dennis Tesch, of Blue Earth; sister, Kathy (Dale) Tourtellott, of Gaylord, sister-in-law, Shirley Elmore, of Lake Crystal; daughter?in?law, Mildi Tesch, of Elmore, six grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Darold was preceded in death by his wife Evelyn Tesch; son, Barry Tesch, parents, brother, Dean Tesch; brothers-in-law, Clayton Clark, and Mervin Elmore.
