Raymond Kneeland

Elmore Raymond Kneeland, age 81, of Elmore, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, Nov. 16, 2017. Private family services at a later time.

Raymond was born on June 16, 1936 in Winnebago, to Gregg and Bernice Kneeland. He attended grade school in Winnebago, and Middle school in Washington state. Raymond married Sheryl Frye in 1972. They made their home in Elmore, where they resided.

Ray had many jobs over the course of his life, working at Motor Inn in Fairmont, Smith Sales and Service in Blue Earth, Hi-Way Ford in Blue Earth, and Hanson Auto in Blue Earth. One of his greatest joys in life were his gardens and the many types of flowers he would plant. People would come from all over to see his beautiful yard. His late wife Sheryl would pick her favorite flowers for him to plant each year adding to the beauty all could enjoy.

Raymond is preceded in death by his parents, Gregg and Bernice Kneeland; brothers, Kenneth, Lenard, Wayne; and sister Gloria.

Raymond is survived by his daughters, Janell (James) Sellers, of Marshall, Kimberly (Bobby) Stephens, of Houston, Texas, and Lori (Nelson) Quigley, of Raeford, North Carolina; grandchildren, Adam Dodd, Spencer Hulburt, Emily Hulburt, Kaylee Fawcett, Julianna Sawyer; great-grandchildren, Liala Jolstad; sisters, Audrey Whittington, of Tacoma Washington, and Betty Leise, of Colville, Washington.
