Charlene L. Borris

Wells Charlene Louise Borris, age 95, of Wells, died Friday, March 2, 2018 at Parkview Care Center in Wells. A Mass of Christian Burial was held Thursday, March 8, 2018, at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Easton, Fr. Peter Klein officiated. Charlene Louise was born Feb. 6, 1923 in Barber Township, Faribault Co., the daughter of Leo and Edith (Paul) Braunshausen. She graduated from Delevan High School in 1940. Charlene was united in marriage to Gene Borris on Oct. 5, 1950 in Easton. She enjoyed playing cards, especially Bridge, and she loved to shop.

Charlene is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Gene; and brother, Galen Braunshausen.

She is survived by her children, Bill Borris, of Blue Earth, Julie (Gordon) Martin, of Wells, and Jan Borris, of Woodbridge, Virginia; grandchildren, Ryan (Laura) Borris, of Winnebago, Laura (James) Gordon, of Mapleton, Taylor (Emily) Martin, of Jackson and Joshua Borris, of Fairfax, Virginia; great-grandchildren, Lyndsey and Cale Borris, of Winnebago, Mason and Camden Gordon, of Mapleton, and baby Martin due in June; siblings, Annella Clarke, of Wells, Julian (Miriam) Braunshausen, of Mankato; sister-in-law, Betty Colby; along with many nieces, nephews and their families.
