Antonio (Tony) Carlos Ibanez

Yukon, Oklahoma – Antonio (Tony) Carlos Ibanez died along with his sister Barbara Ann Homan, age 53, in Luther, Oklahoma.

A Celebration of Life will be held for Antonio (Tony) Carlos Ibanez on June 16, 2018 beginning at 2 p.m. at the Oleander Saloon in Mankato.

Tony’s life began March 5, 1974 in Landstuhl, Germany. After Germany he lived in Spain and California before settling in Minnesota for several years. In 2016 he picked up and moved to Oklahoma to start a new life.

While in Oklahoma Tony enrolled in the American Broadcasting School in Oklahoma City, graduating with honors in March, 2017. Immediately after graduation he was hired by WPA Radio, LLC of Oklahoma City where he worked as a producer for a community talk show.

Tony is survived by his daughter, Nadia Donacio, of El Paso, Texas; mother, Dessie Jean Ibanez, of North Mankato; sister, Dessie Sofia Slater, of Littlefield, Texas; brother, Jose Luis Ibanez, of Pilot Grove; sister, Donna Jean Swan, of Abilene, Texas, and sister, Maria del Carmen Hunt, of North Mankato.

Antonio is preceded in death by his father, Jose Luis Ibanez.

Tony will be forever loved and remembered as someone who overcame so much and was on the continual path of making amends and rebuilding bridges with loved ones. He was a friend to everyone and he loved his family immensely.
