Gerald D. Thedens

Isle – Gerald Dennis Thedens passed away at the age of 79 on Aug. 21, 2018. Gerald was born in Des Moines, Iowa, March 24, 1939 to Elno and Ruth Thedens. He moved to St. Cloud, in his youth and then moved to Mankato, for his high school days where he participated in gymnastics. He went into the Army after he graduated from High School in 1957 for a three year tour in Europe. He went on to college and became an attorney. He had a variety of careers including restaurant owner, farmer, real estate and truck driving.

Jerry is survived by his wife, Cheryl Thedens; brother, Richard (Helen) Thedens, of Princeton; children, Todd (Julie) Thedens, of East Chain, Lynae Bleichner, of Bloomington, Jeni Roberts, of Eagan, Tim (Julie) Thedens, of Hermantown; step-children and spouses; numerous nieces and nephews; grandchildren and great grandchildren.

A gathering was held on Saturday, Aug. 25, 2018 at the Elim Nursing Home, in Princeton, MN. Interment Oak Knoll Cemetery.
