Blue Earth – Don Anderson, age 63, of Blue Earth, passed away unexpectedly on Oct. 23, 2018 at United Hospital District in Blue Earth.

Visitation will be Monday, Oct. 29, 2018 from 4-7 p.m. at Patton Funeral Home, 400 E. 14th St., Blue Earth. Funeral Service will be Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Blue Earth with Rev. Jeanette Bidne officiating. Interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Blue Earth. Donald John Anderson was born Dec. 31, 1954 in Blue Earth, to Marjorie Irene (Bobo) and James Ellsworth Anderson. He graduated with the Blue Earth Area High School class of 1973. Don recently retired from the Faribault County Court House after 29 years of employment. He was a loving dad, and his pride and joy were his grandkids. He loved fixing things, tinkering for hours with his motorcycle. Taking many long and short rides solo, always coming home to Janie. Don liked to give tried and true advice to others, stemming from his past experiences. He will be remembered for always having a smile on his face and taking a minute to say hello. Don is looked up to and respected by many. Looking back, many would say, “Don WAS always right!”

Don is survived by his mother, Marjorie (Bobo) Anderson; wife and best friend of 43 years, Janie (Blom) Anderson; children, Brandon Anderson, Lexie (Jared) Bruellman and Tessa (Chase) James; grandchildren, Delanie and Mavrick Bruellman, Davis James and Braxton Sutherland; brothers, Duane, Randy (Amy), Mark, David (Ivy), Paul (Donna), and James (Ann) Anderson; sisters, Cheryl (Leo) LaShomb, Nancy Cratsley and Karen (Phillip) Lane; mother-in-law, Donamae Blom; sisters-in-law, Pam (Bruce) Milbrant and Julie D’amico; nieces, nephews , other relatives and friends.

Donald is preceded in death by his father, James Anderson; brother, Mitch Anderson; father-in-law, Gerald Blom and sister-in-law, Patty Komarek.
