Janet L. Brady (Ballard)

Dumfries, Virginia Janet Lee Brady (Ballard), age 79, a Minnesota native and former 16 year resident of Sierra Vista, Arizona, died on Nov. 28, 2018 at her home in Dumfries, Virginia. She was born on April 23, 1939 in Winnebago, to Francis and Rose (Seehusen Ballard).

She was preceded in death by daughter, Tonya Thomas; mother, Rose Ballard and father, Francis Ballard. She is survived by her daughter, Sonya Lewis, of Dumfries, Virginia and her brother, Marvin Ballard, of San Mateo, California.

She was a remarkable and selfless woman and mother. She had an amazing heart and was generous to all. She treated everyone with kindness and loved deeply and unconditionally. Those that had the privilege to know her knew gardening and animals were her passion. She will be greatly missed and will now be at peace with Tonya and her parents. Memorial contributions may be made to animal shelters or a charity of choice.

A celebration of life in Minnesota will be at a later date and she will be interred at the Riverside Cemetery, Winnebago.
