Robert Weber, 66
Fairmont A celebration of life service for Robert “Bob” Weber, age 66, of Fairmont, will be 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 21, 2019, at the Lakeview Funeral Home in Fairmont. A private family burial will be held at a later date. Visitation was 3-6 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 20, 2019, at the Lakeview Funeral Home in Fairmont and will continue one hour prior to the time of service. Bob passed away Wednesday morning, Jan. 16, 2019, at the Mayo Clinic Health System in Mankato. The Lakeview Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Fairmont is assisting the family with arrangements.
Robert Weber was born on March 31, 1952, in Fairmont, the son of Everett and Leona (Servias) Nutt. He began his education attending Lincoln School in Fairmont and later attended Fairmont Jr. and Sr. High School where he earned his diploma.
Following his graduation, Robert made his home in the Fairmont area and worked as a machinist at Artsway in Armstrong, Iowa, and Nortech Aerospace Systems where he retired from in 2016.
Bob loved the outdoors and jumped at the chance to spend time fishing. He was also very interested in Indian artifacts and enjoyed hunting for them in addition to studying them and their history. Bob was an avid Minnesota Twins and Vikings fan and spent countless hours out in his garage cheering them on. After returning to Fairmont in 2001, Robert became a member of Grace Lutheran Church and was later baptized into the Lutheran faith in 2002. Bob was also a long-time member of the Trimont Conservation Club.
Left to cherish his memory are two daughters and grandchildren; sister, Rosemary (Erwin) Atzenhoefer, of Trimont; brother, Lawrence (Sharon) Grunert of Menasha, Wisconsin; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Everett and Leona Nutt; grandparents, Earl and Hazel Nutt and Omer and Anna Servais; brother, Roger Nutt; and many aunts and uncles.
