Dianne C. Huges, 75
(Formerly of Blue Earth) Dianne Carol Hughes passed away peacefully, at the age of 75, at The Emeralds at St. Paul healthcare center on April 11, 2019.
A funeral service was held Wednesday, April 17, at the First Presbyterian Church in Blue Earth, Pastor Russ Steele officiated. Burial took place at Riverside Cemetery in Blue Earth.
Dianne was born on May 2, 1943 in Blue Earth, to parents Donald and Helen Hanson. She attended school in Blue Earth. She married James Allan Hughes on June 30, 1959.
She was a homemaker and later attended classes at South Central College for dietetics and worked in St. Luke’s, Assissi Residence, and Nicollet Place. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, quilting, and reading. The love of reading she passed on to her children and grandchildren.
Dianne is survived by Monica (Chris) Yarger, of Mankato, Allan Hughes, of North Mankato, and David (Kristie) Hughes, of Scandia. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, Andrew and Johnathon (Trude) Yarger; Daniel, Joseph, Ana, Elena, Benjamin, and Lauren Hughes: and three great-grandchildren: Jacob, Brooke, and Harvey Yarger. Also, brother, Robert (Loretta) Hanson, of Lincoln, Nebraska. and nieces and nephews and their families.
