Mabelle C. Larson, 92
Delavan Mabelle Charlotte Larson, age 92, of Delavan, passed away Nov. 22, 2019 at the Mapleton Community Home in Mapleton.
Memorial service was Saturday, Nov. 30, 2019 at the United Church of Mapleton. Burial was at Union Cemetery in Mapleton. Olson-Tichenor Funeral Home assisted the family.
Mabelle was born March 26, 1927 to Peter and Ruth (Healey) Rue in rural Mapleton. She graduated from Mapleton High School in 1945 and attended Mankato Commercial College. She married Kermit Larson in 1955 in Riverside, California. Mabelle was a homemaker, mother and worked outside the home.
Mabelle was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, was a deacon at the United Church, member of the Red Hat Society, Garden Club, was a church quilter, volunteered at the Mapleton Community Home, delivered Meals on Wheels, and attended Bible Study. She enjoyed square dancing, quilting, doing handy work, hosting family events, baking rolls for church, gardening, and was an avid reader.
Mabelle is survived by her son, Denton (Lisa) Larson, of Arlington; step-grandchildren, John Livingston, Megan (Stephen) Dyess, and Sara Livingston; three step- great-grandchildren; sister, LouisaBelle Shuck; sisters-in-law, Lorraine Schulte, Donna Torell, Jeanne Hellerich, and Rosetta Larson; many nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Mabelle was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Kermit in 2011; twin sons; brother, John Rue; brothers-in-law, Merlin Larson, Harrold Schulte, Byron Torell and Richard Shuck; nephews, Blair Shuck, William Hellerich; and great nephew, Troy Schultz.
