Mike was born March 11, 1971. He was the son of Arvid and Kay Wendland. Mike grew up in Blue Earth, where he was a standout wrestler for the Buccaneers. Mike was a tremendous chef spending many years working at the Loews Hotel in downtown Minneapolis. Mike was a kind and generous person who was near and dear to the people who knew him well. He was devoted to maintaining relationships with people from every stage of his life. Mike could often be found attending concerts and grill-outs with those who he cherished. When you had Mike as a friend, you had a friend for life.
