Fairmont – Memorial services for Gerald W. Blakesslee, age 78, of Fairmont, was Wednesday, Nov. 4, 2020, at Lakeview Funeral Home in Fairmont. Full military honors were held following the service at the funeral home by Lee C. Prentice American Legion Post #36 and Martin County Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #1222. A private burial will take place at a later date in Lakeside Cemetery. Gerald passed away Wednesday, Oct. 28, 2020, at Parker Oaks Senior Living in Winnebago, after a long battle with Parkinson’s.
