Mary C. Murry, 80
Blue Earth – Mary Christina Murry, age 80, of Blue Earth, died Sunday, Nov. 15, 2020 at her daughter’s home in Blue Earth. A private Mass of Christian Burial was held Wednesday, Nov. 18, 2020, at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Blue Earth. Father Andrew Beerman officiated and interment was in Calvary Cemetery-rural Delavan. Please see www.brussheitner.com to leave online condolences. Mary Christina was born March 11, 1932 in Easton, the daughter of Raymond and Rose (Schimek) Paul. She was united in marriage to James Murry on Nov. 26, 1953 in Easton. The couple lived in Philadelphia for two years after their marriage while Jim was in the service. They then moved back to the family farm near Delavan. Mary and Jim loved to travel and after retiring they spent their winters in the Rio Grande Valley in Texas. Mary was an avid reader, she enjoyed sewing and tending to her flower garden. She was a member of a garden club and a book club. Mary was a fan in the stand at countless ballgames; and the grandkids will fondly remember her for her famous chocolate chip cookies and blankets that she made for them.
Mary is survived by four children: Jeanette (Mike) Verdoorn, of Blue Earth, Barb Austinson, of Kasson, Ken (Karin) Murry, of Rochester, and Brian (Janelle) Murry, of Kasson; 11 grandchildren: Michelle Kniess, Laura (Trudell) Kolpack, Bob (Kylie) Verdoorn, Drew Austinson, Derrick Austinson, Vanessa Murry, Rachel (Brandon) Gilbertson, Becky (Dalton) Snow, Nick (Haily) Murry, Carter Murry and Addie Murry; great-grandchildren: Rowan and Crew Kniess, Ryan, Ben and Jenna Kolpack, Arnez and Aiyana Austinson, Brock and Kinsley Gilbertson, Brinley Snow and Maverick Murry; siblings: Gene (Jane) Paul, Carolyn (Jim) Willette and Ron (Marti) Paul; sister-in-law Bernie Paul; many nieces, nephews and their families.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James (2013); daughter, Cathy (1989); son-in-law, Dave Austinson; brothers: Donald Paul, Dunnell Paul, Cyril Paul, Bernie (Eileen) Paul, George (Naomi) Paul; sisters: Margaret (Oliver) Tibodeau and Evelyn (M.C.) Hardy.
