Richard Babcock

Winnebago – Richard Claude Babcock, age 92, of Winnebago passed away Thursday, Oct. 29, 2020 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester.

A gravesite service was held Sunday, Nov. 15 at Winnebago Riverside Cemetery.

Richard was born on Sept, 30, 1928, in Winnebago, to Marion and Florence (Snitzler) Babcock. Richard worked in lumber yards all his life starting with his family’s Winneba-go Lumber Yard estb 1946.

He is survived by his son, Stephen Babcock, of Valley City, North Dakota, daughter, Melissa Anne, of Winnebago, sons, Linden (Peg) Babcock, of Amboy, and Brenden (Nancy) Babcock, of Huntley; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He was preceeded in death by daughter, Melanie (Dennis) Thomas, of Laramie, Wyoming; his parents and siblings: Harlan (Betty Ruth) Babcock, Lois Thatcher Hall.
