Kathleen M. Thompson, 70

Kathy Thompson
Frost – Kathleen Marie Thompson, age 70, was called home to eternal life with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday evening at United Hospital District in Blue Earth.
A visitation will be held from 11a.m.-1 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 1, 2021, at United Lutheran Church, 310 Howard Street, Frost. Web tributes may be left at www.pattonfh.com. A private graveside service will be held at a later date.
Kathleen was born April 17, 1950 to Ervin and Delores (Frerichs) Hanson. She married Ronald Duane Thompson on Feb. 28, 1971 in Frost. They had two beautiful daughters. She worked as a deputy registrar at the Faribault County Driver’s License Office until her retirement in 2012.
Much like her father, Ervin, Kathleen was blessed with exceptional musical ability, especially her talents and skills on the piano. She served as the church organist for United Lutheran Church in Frost, and played for and accompanied at literally hundreds of services, weddings and funerals. Her specialty was worship and praise music. She loved to play the Boogie Woogie for friends and family alike, making the piano sing with energy and rhythm.
Survivors include her husband, Ron Thompson, of Frost; daughters, Michele (Christopher) Peukert, of Jordan and Shannon (Brian) Lett, of Burnsville; two grandsons, Jaeden Lett and Shea Lett; siblings Bruce (Sandy) Hanson, of Blue Earth, Douglas (Cheryl) Hanson, of Minneapolis, and Debbie Wertjes, of Kiester; and several nieces and nephews.
Kathleen was preceded in death by her parents and her stepmother.
