Blue Earth – Brian Noel Hedland, age 72, of Blue Earth passed away Friday Feb. 5, 2021 at the United Hospital District in Blue Earth surrounded by his loving family. Funeral services were held Wednesday, Feb. 10 at Patton Funeral Home, Chaplain Russ Steele officiated. Burial was at Riverside Cemetery in Blue Earth. Brian Noel Hedland was born Feb. 12, 1948 in Blue Earth, to Gordon and Ruth (More) Hedland. He attended Blue Earth School graduating in 1966. He then went on to attend Mankato Vocational school earning a degree in electronics. He worked as a TV repairman, electronic technician at Telex and Hybrid Microcircuits. He was also an associate at the Blue Earth Walmart electronics department. Most recently he was in maintenance at the I-90 East Wayside Rest Stop.

On May 27, 1977 he married Connie Mason. Two daughters were born to this union. The couple later divorced.

He was a grandpa of six and enjoyed attending his grandchildren’s many activities. He was a Ham radio operator for many years and was a huge music lover, he was in several bands during his younger years and learned to play the guitar and keyboard. He was most proud of his accomplishments in AA and his 26 years of sobriety.

Brian is survived by his two daughters, Marta (Daryl) Grove, of Fayette, Iowa and Tarra Hedland (Nate Blowers), of Blue Earth, six grandchildren, Jacob Hedland, of St. Paul, Hayley Jahnke and Marianna Rincon, of Blue Earth, Makenna, Gavyn and Brody Grove, of Fayette, Iowa; brother, Joel (Mara Coyle) Hedland, of Maplewood, and nephews, Nils and Leo Hedland, and his loving dog Wrinkles.

He is preceded in death by his parents.
