Susan L. Berndt, 58

La Crosse/Blue Earth – Susan Berndt, of La Crosse, Wisconsin, formerly of Blue Earth, passed away unexpectedly of a heart attack at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester on Friday, March 5, 2021, she was 58.

Susan Lynn Berndt, was the youngest of five daughters born to Arnold Victor and Viola Vera (Ehrich) Berndt on Aug. 15, 1962 in Blue Earth. She was raised and educated in Blue Earth, graduating from Blue Earth High School. She went on to attend Mankato VoTech and then worked in Fairmont for a few years. She moved to La Crosse, Wisconsin in 1990 to be closer to family. Susan loved many things with her whole being. She loved to ride her bicycle and go to the swimming pool. She loved walking the dog, Barkley. She loved her family and the many get-togethers they had. She also loved the casino and playing slot machines and she loved even more winning at the games.

Susan will be remembered for her big heart and her happy, friendly, and caring personality will be missed by all who knew her.

Susan is survived by her sisters, Carolyn (Perry) Sailor, of Park Rapids, Margaret (Chuck) Sims, of Rapid City, South Dakota, and Nancy Davenport, of La Crosse,Wisconsin; a plethora of nieces and nephews; foster parents, John and Judy Burcham, of La Crosse, Wisconsin; and many other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents, Susan is preceded in death by her sister, Cathy Burgess.
