Delores E. Prescher, 92

Delavan – Delores Elaine (Wallace) Prescher, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, faithful servant and child of God finished her course in faith on Sunday, July 25, 2021 at Whitewater Health Services, St. Charles.
Delores (Dode) was the loving daughter of the late Harriet (Colby) and George L. Wallace; born to them on Aug. 21, 1928 in Lura Township, rural Delavan. She was the older sister to her twin brothers, Charles and William. William survives her.
Raised on the farm, Delores was a 1946 graduate of DHS. She married her high school sweetheart, Ralph Prescher on Aug. 22, 1948. They settled on and farmed the Prescher farm in Barber Township. They shared 69 years of marriage in Christ until Ralph’s death July 3, 2017.
Delores also worked off the farm in several jobs including as a bookkeeper for the Delavan Ag Supply.
Delores is survived by her three children and their spouses: Diana (Jerry) Treptow, Gary (Judi Oothoudt), and Conie (Bill) Bengs. Always a blessing to her family, Delores continued on in that role to her grandchildren who survive, Jennifer (Jeremy), Jessica (Todd), Megan (Drew), Maura (Kyle), Justin (Kristie), and Marcia (Rob); and to her great-grandchildren: Kate (Robert), Jaret, Arianna, Jacob, Isabel, Olivia, Colby, Ethan, Sadie, Noah, Elaine, and Harper. She is also survived by her sisters-in-law, Geneva Prescher and Margie Wallace as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.
An example of faithful love and care for her brothers and sisters in Christ, Delores served in the Church Choir, Sunday School, Ladies Aid/LWML, Altar Guild and as a Trustee at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Emerald Township, Blue Earth.
The family will be forever grateful to the caring staff at Whitewater and Season’s Hospice and to her physician, Dr. Lindy Hankel. The family also thanks all who visited, sent cards, letters or flowers and were a blessing to Delores as her health failed.
The funeral service for Delores will be held at Immanuel Lutheran Church on Saturday, Aug. 21, 2021 at 2 p.m. Burial will be in the prairie she loved at Immanuel Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour before the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Seasons Hospice in Rochester or Interfaith Caregivers in Blue Earth would be greatly appreciated.
