Dara Lee was born on March 8, 1939 to Richard and Genevieve (Froehlick) Larson in Winnebago. She graduated from Winnebago High School in 1956 and later married Lee Jeffries. Their marriage was blessed with four children: Brian Lee, Mark Steven, Donna Lee, and Michael Bennett. In 1983, she married Richard Tillquist and welcomed two stepdaughters: Kristi Ann, and Karin Marie. Together they built a beautiful life of love, and enjoyed singing, music, traveling, gardening, and entertaining for 37 years.

Dara Lee’s kindness and faith in Jesus was apparent in all she did, and she blessed everyone around her with her warmth and hospitality, using her gifts as an accomplished painter, seamstress, gardener, and hostess. She was forever making things beautiful and wonderful for others. Jesus sustained Dara Lee in all things, and was her source of joy and strength through all of the highs and lows of life. We rejoice that she is home, even as we grieve.

Dara Lee was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Tillquist; her parents; her sister, Bonnie Lyles; and brother, Bob Larson.
