Jordan Mortenson, 27

Fairmont – Jordan Mortenson, age 27, of Fairmont passed away Monday, Feb. 28, 2022 at Mayo Hospital in Rochester surrounded by his family. A Celebration of Life was held Saturday, March 12 from 1-4 p.m. at the Municipal Building in Winnebago.

Jordan was born March 24, 1994 to Matt and Betsy (Putnam) Mortenson in Fairmont. He was one of three boys. He attended Blue Earth Area and Granada schools. After school he went on to be a welder at a couple different local companies.

When Jordan wasn’t working you would always find him spending time with his boys or hanging out with close friends. He enjoyed being outdoors, whether it be taking the boys fishing or to the park to play frisbee golf or hunting or hiking, he relished just being in nature. Family and friends were very important to him and no matter what he was doing, he was living life to the fullest and having a good time.

Left to cherish his memories are his parents, Matt and Betsy Mortenson of Granada; his sons, Haydyn, Jaxsyn, Jayse, Marshall, Alex and Myles; his brothers, Jake (Brooke) Mortenson and Zach Mortenson; grandparents, Dwayne Mortenson, Rose Mortenson and Jim Putnam; uncles, Jeff Mortenson and Michael Putnam; aunts, Dawn (Dave) Erickson and Melissa Steuer; nieces, Nora and Amelia Mortenson; as well as many other extended family members and dear friends.

He is preceded in death by his grandma, Karen Putnam; and cousin, Erica Putnam.
