Marshall Olsen, 77

Cave Creek, Arizona – Marshall Olsen, 77, passed away on Feb. 22, 2022 in Scottsdale, Arizona. He was born on June 24, 1944 in Frost. He was the youngest of seven children and graduated from Frost High School in 1962.

He is survived by his wife, Kathy; daughter, Kristi (Dan); son, Kyle (Jaci); four grandchildren, Kaden, Kaitlin, Grady, and Grant; brothers, Carrol (Donna), and Milo (Kathy); as well as many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Marshall earned a degree in business/finance from Ottawa University, Ottawa, Kansas. He was in the Army National Guard and also went to work for Motorola in Scottsdale for more than thirty years before retiring in 2003.

Marshall married Kathy in 1970, and they shared 52 years together. He grew to love fly fishing, boating, teaching the grands fishing, spending time with friends, and especially designing and building their cabin near Alpine, Arizona. His love of the outdoors grew from his farm roots to his deep love for Arizona.

He especially enjoyed worshiping and volunteering in their church of 34 years ~ La Casa de Cristo Lutheran Church.

Marshall is remembered by his deep faith and his gentle kindness to all who met and knew him.
