Gary C. Underdahl, 71

Elmore – Gary C. Underdahl, age 71, of Elmore, passed away on Saturday, April 30, 2022, at his home in rural Elmore. No services will be held at this time. The Lakeview Funeral Home in Fairmont is assisting the family with arrangements.

Gary C. Underdahl was born on Sept.27, 1950 to Claire and Virginia (Marcus) Underdahl, in Albert Lea. He graduated from Frost High School. Gary served in the Air National Guard out of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, from April of 1970 until April of 1976.

On April 25, 1970, Gary was united in marriage to Judith Brandsoy in Bricelyn. After their marriage, Gary and Judy made their home in Bricelyn, Elmore, and Zeeland, North Dakota. Gary farmed for many years and retired in 2015.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Judy Underdahl; sister, Allison (James) Sunde; brother, Chris Underdahl; nieces, Tena Sunde, Jill Sunde, and Janny (Peter) Hanson; great-nieces and nephew, Hailey Hanson, Aidan Hanson, and Iris Hanson; brothers and sisters-in-law, JoAnn and Eldo Ovrebo, Earl and Barb Brandsoy, Mary and Russ Erichsrud, Dale and Portia Brandsoy, and Carol and Jim Schroeder; many nieces and nephews; and other extended family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Claire and Virginia Underdahl, and brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Gene and Shirley Anderson.
