Carol Ann Jean Gramentz, 69

Amboy – Carol Ann Jean Gramentz, age 69, of Amboy, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, July 7, 2022 at Mayo Clinic Health Systems in Rochester.

Funeral services were held on Friday, July 15, 2022 at Patton Funeral Home in Blue Earth at 2 p.m. Visitation was held one hour prior to the service.

Carol was born on April 8, 1953 in Mitchell, South Dakota, to Jean and Geneva (Schaal) Monson. She attended Waterville High School and went on to attend several college courses in Moorhead. Carol worked several jobs over her lifetime, and she was most proud of her time spent managing a restaurant.

Carol had a heart of gold. She was the kind of person that touched other people’s lives with her kindness and fun sense of humor. She enjoyed spending her mornings by the window, watching hummingbirds fly by, sipping on her tea, and doing crossword puzzles. Carol loved all animals, especially cats, horses, and birds. She also loved reading, watching television shows, and going to movies. Carol’s children and her grandchildren where her pride and joy.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Mindy (Todd) Golly, of Winnebago, and Skye (Benjamin) Koch, of Gaylord; sister, Karen Monson, of Kassen; and grandchildren, Tyler Hammerschmidt, Thomas and Giselle Golly, and Melvin and Eloise Koch.

She is preceded in death by her parents and daughter, Lola.
