David W. Willette, 83

David Weldon Willette, age 83, of Maple Plain, passed away June 23, 2022.

Dave was born in Faribault County and graduated from Delavan High School in 1956.

He was a self-employed contractor in the Mound area for over 60 years. He married Eleanor Jenkins in 1959.

As an avid fan of the Gopher women’s and Lynx basketball teams, he had season tickets for many years.

David is survived by his loving wife, Eleanor; children, Julie (Ken) Paugh, Mark (Shelly), Dan (Dawn); eight grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and four sisters, Janet Janicke, Barbara Zins, Therese Fleetham, Sister Mary Willette; sister-in-law, Lucille Willette; and many other family and friends.

He was preceded in death by parents, Weldon and Teresa (Schimek) Willette; sister, Doris Schroer; and brother, Chuck.

He was buried at Our Lady of the Lake Cemetery in Mound.
