Hazel Petersen, 82

Bricelyn – Hazel Petersen, age 82, of Bricelyn, died Tuesday, Aug. 9, 2022 at Parkview Care Center in Wells. Visitation will be held from 9:30-10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 17, 2022 at North Blue Earth Lutheran Church in Bricelyn. A Funeral Service will follow at 10:30 a.m. with Pastor Kristin Venne officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in Blue Earth. Nasinec Funeral Home in Wells is entrusted with arrangements. Hazel was born Feb. 10, 1940, the daughter of Oliver and Frieda (Heinrich) Thompson in Frost. She was married to Gary Petersen and he proceeded her in death.

She is survived by her children, David Childs, of Blue Earth, and Dawn Owen, of Hastings; three granddaughters; four great-granddaughters; sisters, Elizabeth “Liz” (Arnie) Frerichs, of Indianapolis, Indiana, Doris Evans (Carrol) of Owatonna and Karen (Bill) McCleary, of Cuba City, Wisconsin; along with several nieces, nephews and their families.
